The history of Cette
cette® is the leading luxury hosiery and shapewear manufacturer in Belgium. Founded in 1958, we started in the small village of Denderleeuw in East Flanders, 30 km west of Brussels, in a historical textile area and moved in 1987 to a more appropriate location in the Industrial Development Area of Aalst.
The hosiery brand cette® was launched in 1988 and is registered worldwide. Today more than half of the production is exported to about 40 countries around the world.
The rest of the turnover is dedicated to distributors’ own label brands who are looking for high quality and “just in time” service.

Market
Our products are sold by independent retailers, duty free shops, department stores and wholesalers (the brand cette® is not sold by discount outlets, food stores etc.).The largest markets are the different member countries of the European Community, followed by Japan and Russia.
Our final consumers are the most demanding ladies who require quality and who consider legwear and shapewear as an essential part of their wardrobe. The brand is present in some famous department stores. |

Capacity
Thanks to the relocation of the knitting activities to specialized workshops and the concentration of the dying process, quality control and packing in Erembodegem, we sell an extensive range of products with a present maximum capacity of approximately 60,000 pieces a day. |

Logistics
The entirely computerized flow of goods enables correct worldwide delivery on an order-by-order basis within 5 days.
To facilitate the management of our range in department stores, like Innovation (in Belgium), we have developed a specific program. Via modem link, we obtain the actual sales of our range from the bar codes put through the POS tills. Using an intermediary computer program, which is controlled and reviewed (taking into account seasonal variations) by our own market responsible, a recommended order is raised. The order can then be processed by us immediately. |
